Vessel's fingers traced two small, distinct puncture wounds, his touch gentle, almost reverent. Before Ivy’s very eyes, they closed over, skin knitting together, leaving no trace but for the slight stain of the blood on his pale skin.
There was a moment of panic, of sheer, bone-cracking terror. Ivy’s breath hitched, his brain struggling to process the monster who had opened his flesh and fed from his blood. He felt hot tears fill his eyes, yet his body was unable to move.
Vessel’s eyes softened as he took in Ivy’s trembling lips, reddened from his own teeth. “Oh, my pet, none of that,” he murmured, gently pulling Ivy’s lip away from his teeth. “Your turn is coming. And soon. I’m finding it… increasingly difficult to let you out of my sight."

Being in Louisville, Kentucky in September, however, meant only one thing: Louder Than Life. If you’re anyone who’s anyone in the music world, then you know that Louder Than Life is one of the biggest music festivals in the states, smack dab in the midwest.
Of course, being someone who’s someone in the music world, Andrew had bought himself a day pass to Friday’s festivities. Headliners: Avenged Sevenfold, All Time Low, Dream Theater, Hatebreed, and Sleep Token. All Time Low was a classic that just about everyone and their mothers who had a 2000s emo person in their life knew, Avenged Sevenfold was a name he’d heard in passing, Dream Theater and Hatebreed were completely unknown to him, but Sleep Token was who stood out.

Dehydration was always a pain in the ass, but after three straight nights of partying, his body is practically begging for relief.
