So she runs. Her shaking, frightened frame carrying her deep into the Detroit streets on a cold November night.
She wanders aimlessly and dawn eventually breaks; a bright, morning sun painting the world in a bittersweet color. She wanders until the sounds of blaring police sirens in the distance causes her to flee into a modest diner at the street's edge.
Overwhelmed by the motion of the diner's interior, she flinches - nearly falling into her panic before she turns to leave. A voice cuts through the noise, "Wait"...

Summary
They're objectively boring creatures to watch, swimming back and forth, continuously mapping out a structure that is fundamentally incapable of change. Connor could watch for hours.
At the end of the row of fish was a shelf. Each one held a tiny cup. Each tiny cup held a single Betta fish. Connor’s chest clenched at the sight. One particular one looked close to death. Its color had faded to an off peach color. Its fins were small and appeared to have withered away almost entirely. A scan confirmed ammonia poisoning.
Connor thought back to his first mission. The fishtank. Watching the fish swim away. That fish had been colorful – something tropical that blended with its coral tank. The betta was much smaller. Duller. Much less appreciated, clearly. He quickly researched everything he could possibly find about Bettas and scooped the cup from the ledge.

However, the Connor-model androids (all working at the Detroit Police Department) keep suspiciously injuring themselves in the field just to show up on MC’s doorstep and steal her attention. The advanced model, RK900 (Nines), is the boldest in his outright attempts to court the MC. The beta model, RK800 (Connor), catches wind of this and becomes jealous. And the mid-model, RK800-60 (Sixty), attempts to keep order and rats out the two increasingly deviant Connor-model androids, but alas, finds himself hopelessly in their same position.

But when Connor's newfound deviancy forces him to confront the inevitable feelings and urges that come with it, there's no more room for professionalism between you. Add to that, you're not exactly immune to his charm, and before you know it, he ends up in your bed.
And that complicates things.
