He had genuinely believed that the sakura would be in bloom. Now, the sky was a dusty grey, choked with clouds, and the only blue thing in sight was Kaiser’s hair, his eyes, the roses on his throat, and his matching fluffy jacket. Just Kaiser being Kaiser.
Kaiser snorted and said nothing. He ruffled Isagi’s hair, turning it into a tangled nest, as he brushed past him, walking towards the stone bridge over the frost-clogged river. That gesture spoke volumes about how comfortable they were with each other in their own special kind of way.
Isagi couldn’t help but think, they were never meant to get this close.

“About that…” The zipper fell down in one smooth motion, and out came a tiny orange ball of fur, blinking up with imploring eyes.
“You—you absolute moron,” Isagi half-yelled, voice muffled behind his palm. No. Absolutely not. “You brought a cat into our apartment.”
“Correction: I rescued him. From the cruel, cruel, wet streets.”
Isagi’s eyes narrowed over his hand. “I’m allergic. Allergic.”
In which Kaiser shows up with a stray kitten, Isagi’s ‘allergies’ threaten disaster, and what should’ve been a simple rescue spirals into anything but that.

He’s unable to say it with a straight face, and snorts, trying to pretend he doesn’t have a clue what his boyfriend is saying. It’s really funny (at least for Kaiser), who watches Yoichi open his mouth, then blink, then scowl, then stutter with offense, then proceed to stare at him, mouth agape, and the most irritated he’d ever felt after Kaiser stole that one goal from him during the Neo Egoist League.
Isagi sees the way Kaiser’s lips match perfectly to the sound he hears — because he’s not fucking speaking. He’s mocking him! He’s such a fucking asshole, oh my God, Yoichi hates him so much. His face goes red in rage as he proceeds to grab a handful of Kaiser’s blonde-blue hair and push him down into the pillow so roughly he hopes it’s suffocating. “You’re— I fucking hate you Kaiser!! You’re so fucking racist, you little shit!!” And the worst part is that Kaiser is laughing while Yoichi physically abuses him. It is seriously not funny!

“What the fuck are you doing here, Yoichi?” Kaiser hesitated on the threshold of his hotel room, torn between stomping inside and turning right around so he didn’t have to deal with whatever the hell this was.
Yoichi grinned at him, a wicked spark in his eyes. He darted forward before Kaiser could ask him how he’d broken into his room and grabbed him by the hand, yanking him inside. Kaiser, of course, dug his heels in, resisting upon principle, if not on instinct. That was when another Yoichi poked his head around the corner, saw what was going on, and took Kaiser’s other hand to haul him in the rest of the way.
The door slammed behind him and the lock engaged. Right away, the air seemed to change.
“What the hell is this?”
In his hour of greatest need, Kaiser returns to his hotel room after a match to find not one, but two Yoichis. (His Yoichi, a third one, is somewhere.)

“I know… sorry… I… Michael didn’t come home last night. He was drinking and he didn’t make it home and I don’t know where he is. Ness thinks he should go to rehab. I don’t really know what to do. I don’t think Michael is going to listen to me right now, but he listens to you. Well, most of the time.”
Noa was quiet for a moment. Then, he said, “Have you talked to Bunny Iglesias?”
“Bunny? Why?”
“They’ve become close since Michael joined Re Al. Bunny might know where Michael is and, if not, he might clue you in on where he might be.”
“Okay… I’ll contact Bunny.”
