What if, instead of Annabeth, Percy chose for Luke to go on his quest with him.
And then, of course, in classic Percy fashion, he falls for Luke, Luke falls for him, Grover is an eternal third wheel, and the Greek Myths were rewritten to make a fuckton more sense.
This is inspired primarily by the show, with things being more show accurate than the book, but still having a lot of the book details.

Percy lost everything in the last war. His friends, family, standing at camp (not that he cared about the last one). The fates decided to give the kid a break and put him back in time looking 14 but at the time where Luke and Thalia were 14 and Annabeth was 7. They meet and make their way to camp. Continue to find out the story of Percy and Luke being chaotic and oblivious to each other’s love.
Some trauma, sex scenes (I’ll add them to the tags when I put it in the fic), and other stuff so read at your own discretion. Gay relationship obviously no homophobic bullshit.
