The team doesn't have enough knowledge on the subject to identify a rare parasite, so the hospital sends in a true expert in the field, a local entomologist from a nearby insect conservatory center.
Dr. Anderson has been an entomologist her whole life, and has always had a deep connection to the science surrounding insects. After a childhood like hers, she has distanced herself from any type of relationship to focus entirely on her work. When she arrives as a consult for a certain diagnostician she finds herself bringing up pieces of the past.
She helps them with the case, and eventually start forming bonds with the team.
