Immediately, Piper’s face flushed, her gut squirmed into a bashful little knot, and her heart started madly fluttering in the back of her throat. “Well, I haven’t asked her, obviously.”
“Why not?” Leo scoffed. “It’s obvious you’re in love with her, and this is as good of an excuse as any to ask her out. She’d say yes.”
“I– No!” Piper spluttered. “That’s crazy!”
“What? Her saying yes?”
“No! Well, yes that, too,” Piper stammered. “But I meant the me being in love with her thing!”
“Wait, you’re saying you’re not in love with her?” Leo asked. “I just figured the two of you were doing the whole lesbian sheep syndrome thing.”
“What?”
“You know, lesbian sheep syndrome,” Leo prompted. “It’s that thing where two women are into one another but they’re both waiting for the other to make a move, so nothing ever happens.”
“Shut up, I know what lesbian sheep syndrome is,” Piper snapped.

The only constants she’s ever had—Jason, Leo, and her dad—are slipping away, one by one, and she’s left scrambling to hold onto what’s left before it all crumbles.
Leo has always been alone. Mother dead, father absent, family abandoned him at first sight. For the first time, he finally found a place with Jason and Piper, a space where he could belong—and maybe even feel something more for Jason. But now Jason can’t remember any of it, and Leo's forced to face the pain of isolation all over again, and wonder if he’ll ever find a home.
Heroes Rewritten is a complete rewrite of The Heroes of Olympus, keeping the same characters and premise but with better execution.

For the first time in 7 years Leo was going to a regular mortal school after leaving Camp Half Blood only to fight in a literal war last summer. Now his best friend is very obviously a demigod (And doesn't know it). All he could do was hope that they lasted to Christmas break so he could take her to camp. But that's seeming less and less likely as they head towards the Grand Canyon for this field trip and the weather is getting worse.
He ran through his list of mythical people on this trip: Leo, Piper, Hedge, Jason. Wait. Leo doesn't know a Jason. And Jason doesn't know him. Shit.
or: Leo went to Camp Half Blood when his mom died, and has lived there nearly as long as Annabeth. Now that the Titan War is over, he's decided to try going into the mortal world again. Unfortunately, the mythical world won't leave him alone.

Piper has to make a choice. A decision she already knows the answer to, but is impossible to actually make. How can she choose between the only two people that actually accept her and her dad?
Leo is cursed. At least, he’s pretty sure is. Bad luck always seems to follow him, no matter how far or fast he runs. He doubts that will ever change, no matter what anyone, even his best friends, say.
