Summary
Laura, an art teacher, survives the first thirty days of the zombie apocalypse by barricading herself inside her apartment, counting canned food, and waiting for the world outside to fix itself. But when starvation finally drives her out, her first encounter isn’t with the dead, it’s with Kate, a hardened survivor who makes one thing clear: she isn’t here to babysit.
Thrown together by necessity, the two women forge an uneasy partnership as they flee a collapsing Chicago. On the road, they’ll find other survivors, uncover new dangers, and learn that the walking dead aren’t the only monsters left in the world.
