Steam swirled around the small bathroom but the water wasn’t hot enough. He mindlessly turned it up. With renewed passion, scalding water came pouring down, leaving pink splotches where it touched his skin. It burned. Maybe it would wash away the lingering touches of Donita’s hands.

Summary
The Green Kratt falls the ground, it's cold, he wipes the mud off his face.
He jumps to his feet trying ignoring the the footsteps closing in, deliberately out of sight but close enough to hear. He runs frantically dodging dangling vines and roots in his way.
If only he stayed home, swallowed his pride.
Maybe just apologized to his brother and forget about that stupid inventor.
The Zoologist falls again, thorns burrow into his palms. Chris will take a rain check on being tortured, not that being maimed isn't one of his favorite pass times.
His injuries scream at telling him to stop, rest but he can't.
Branches and rocks cut him as he tumbles down a steep slope, hitting a tree truck he slides to a stop.
He shakes off the fatigue. Get up Chris. He tells himself.
Go Faster, get futher. Don't slow down Chris.
Move unpredictability, turn. He is running on instinct. Running to live.
Try not to get caught. Just Run Chris.
"Come out, come out wherever." A raspy voice calls out to close for Chris's liking. Then hazel eyes meet ocean blue.

Four years after the river took Chris, Martin is still kneeling in the mud.
Chris Kratt died by suicide on the riverbank of the Tortuga at 3:11 a.m., haunted by the memories of a trauma Martin couldn't save him from. Martin, shattered by guilt and failure, seals himself in the creature-pod lab and uses the holo-projector to bring his brother back as a perfect, agonizing hologram. For weeks, he lives in a denial that is slowly poisoned by the ghost of Chris, who glitches and bleeds digital blood, reliving his death and begging Martin to let him go.
Outside, the rest of the team Aviva, Koki, and Jimmy try to survive the fallout, listening to Martin's screams through the sealed door, until Jimmy finally breaks through.
This is a story about the devastating grief that follows, the brutal reality of PTSD, and the long, slow, non-linear path to healing. It follows Martin for four years as he learns to keep living, supported by the quiet, steady love of the team, and particularly a young wildlife cinematographer named Leo.
When the bad quiet returns, and Martin finds himself on his knees with a gun at 3:11 a.m., Leo is the one who steps into the ruin and refuses to let him leave.

Apparently, blatant animal abuse, embezzlement, and complete disregard for international flight laws can have real life consequences. The lawsuit settlement cost Zach most of his fortune, and as a result he was disowned from his family to avoid the bad press. With no where else to go and no one he can rely on he is forced to resort to his last option, getting a real job, in fast food no less! If that wasn't humiliating enough, who should stop by but his arch nemesis? Aviva can't help but find this a little funny, I mean of course he deserves this, he abused animals, hell he's tried to kill them more than once. Still, something about this doesn't sit right with her. So she comes up with a proposition she's sure she will regret.
