Students at Monster High keep disappearing and no one seems to want to talk about it. Weirder still, there are twigs left in the howlways and strange scratches and footsteps echo around the school. Something is frightening enough that it is even scaring the monsters. Terror walks through the school and nothing is certain any more.

Finnegan Wake just wants to do tricks on his wheelchair and enjoy learning at Monster High but things begin getting strange when he starts noticing graffitti around the school that features him and things get even stranger when Kala Mer’ri decides that he is “suffering” because he is disabled and makes a deal with a sea witch to try to make him non-disabled. The students at Monster High have a lot to learn about disability and a lot of work to do to deal with magic gone awry.

Growing up listening to Monster Mash Lance never once dreamed monsters were real and to him they aren't. Even though he's found himself in a monster highschool due to a letter mix up. He wonders why everyone looks strange and why there are so many night classes. He believes he is in a top tier academy and his vampire roommate Keith is just trying to keep Lance alive even though natural selection is hitting the dense man hard. Keith is finding that as he hides Lance's identity from everyone in the school he is slowly falling for the goofy human.

Neighthan está siempre en busca de alguien a quien ayudar, y por el momento Rochelle. La seria gárgola y sus problemas con el amor llenan por el momento la mente del chico híbrido, que no se permitirá ver a sus amigos sufrir por ninguna razón.
Lo que no sabe es que lo que el percibe es solo la punta del iceberg y que al intentar ayudar a desenredar los problemas que acosan a Rochelle, esta mordiendo más de lo que puede masticar. Aún con esto, el híbrido no se dejará vencer.
Así surge el plan de acudir a la maestra del amor residente de Monster High. Su plan iba de maravilla, hasta que la gárgola decidió poner sus condiciones: o los dos buscaban el consejo y sabiduría de Cupido, o ninguno lo haría.
Encontrándose en medio de su propio plan, no tiene más opciones que acceder.
Con esto salen a la luz el pasado de ambos chicos, cosas que se habían esforzado por ocultar de los enormes y hambrientos ojos de la comunidad estudiantil de Monster High.
En el proceso, terminan descubriendo más de ellos mismos y de los amigos que siempre estuvieron ahí para ellos, y creyeron conocer. -
