Noel, the properly grown-up Noel, would absolutely slaughter him if he had spoken to him that way, but 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 Noel was different. As he curled into Liam's side, pulling the blanket up to his shoulders, he looked every bit like an overgrown toddler, despite the smile lines beside his eyes and seemingly permanent scowl lines etched onto his 30-something year old face.
