The Bats are some of the greatest vigilantes in the world, but the threat they're unknowingly fighting against isn't one they're equipped for. Without help, Gotham - and, quite possibly, the entire world - is slated for a grim, grim fate.
Both the Owl House and the Batfamily believe themselves to be the only ones capable of defeating this new threat, and neither are willing to give an inch to the other. Divided they will fall... unless they learn to look in the mirror.

The Palisman wasn’t perfect. Hunter was still learning to whittle as it was, but the little friend still looked good. Curled in on himself, the Palisman reflected a little of how Hunter felt inside. Maybe that was his fault, accidentally projecting his distress into the design. The tail was hugged by little feet, and the wood was smooth.
“Finally,” Runethal snatched the Palisman from Hunter’s hand, causing the boy to yelp in protest. “Sivlia will be pleased.” He took the stupid reference picture with the other hand and didn’t bother looking at Hunter as he left.
Hunter didn’t even get a moment to ask anymore, or stall, or anything. The door was slammed shut, and again, the lock clicked into place.
“I’m sorry,” He said brokenly, voice cracked with emotion. “I’m so sorry.”
