Summary
It's been 7 months since Wille and Simon drove away from Hillerska and towards their shared future. Wille deciding to renounce his title at 18 didn't solve all of their problems, but they had built a much more stable and healthy relationship once they were free from the weight of the crown.
Even being long distance, they managed to disgust their friends daily being sickeningly in love. Wille says he can take the teasing - they earned the right to be That Annoying Couple after everything they went through in their first year.
Year 2 is going great though. They have good friends, like their schools, and their relationship is solid. They even have plans to go to university together once they graduate.
They should have known things were going too well. When a bombshell article rocks Sweden just after Christmas, everyone's world turns upside down.
The Royal Court is exposed. The people are revolting. And Wille and Simon don't know what to do, but at least they'll do it together, right?
Can be read as a standalone fic. Parts 1 and 3 of the series are supplemental social media posts that fill in plot points and are just for fun.

The club was a throbbing mass of lights and music when Wille arrived, the bass vibrating in his chest. He made his way through the crowd, his eyes scanning the room for any familiar faces. Jaspers firm hand grabs his jaw and tilts his head upwards into the light, his warm skin is a stark contrast to the cold air as his fingers dig into Simons cheeks. His own hands are shaking now, and as he tries to pull his face away Jasper his hand only seems to tighten.
“get off me!” Simon snarls, and with a sharp tug he wrestles his face loose. Silence seems to settle over the group and as he sees a flicker of recognition from buzzcut guy still standing in front of him, his knees go weak.

“Hey.”
A calm voice behind Simon interrupts him on his way to math. As he turns and sees August, he immediately turns back and continues walking.
“Hey, hold on,” August calls, “You didn’t respond to me last night.”
Simon stops walking and shuts his eyes, considering whether he should even engage right now. He whips around and faces August.
“You’re right. I didn’t. So why do you think I would want to talk to you now?” he snaps.
August raises his eyebrows and gives that unsettling grin. “Calm down. I just want to talk to you,” he looks around, “Maybe somewhere more private?”
The corner of Simon’s lip curls up in disgust. His gut is telling him to run as far away from him as possible and tell Wille his cousin is being a creep. But he also knows that Wilhelm wants nothing to do with him. He knows that following August would probably piss Wilhelm off, and that is all the reason he needs to start walking towards an empty spot of the courtyard.

It’s become sort of a thing for Simon. Wherever he doesn’t know what to do, when he’s helpless in some situation, he’ll at least try to offer whoever is distressed a hug. The physical reassurance is all he can manage sometimes and no matter how little it is, he hopes it provides some comfort.
Or, 5 times Simon is the one to provide comfort through physical touch + 1 time when he's the one being comforted in this way.
