Jonathan Sims wouldn't consider himself suicidal. Regardless of his impulsive tendencies to run headfirst into danger, he does not actually seek to die.
After all, death would be the easy way out. If he was dead he’d never be in pain again, never again feel the sharpness of a blade or the equally sharp bang of grief and guilt pierce his heart. There would only be blissful oblivion.
He knows he doesn't deserve that luxury.
