“Jaskier. You’re eighteen years old,” Geralt reminds him helpfully.
Jaskier throws an arm over his face. “God, just let me wallow, Geralt.”
Geralt thinks he might be drunker than he feels because the next thing he knows he blurts, “If you’re still single by the time you’re thirty-five, I’ll date you.”
There’s a pause during which Geralt, ears steadily reddening, curses his loosened tongue and wishes for the ground to swallow him up whole.
Finally, Jaskier says, “You think I’ll still be single when I’m thirty-five?”

When he wakes, the morning sun is burning through the window onto their faces, and Mike’s cursing as he stands to close the curtains, stumbling all the way.
“Scoot over,” he grumbles, voice dry, and for a second Will can’t do anything other than sigh like a lovesick idiot. It’s a second too late for Mike, because he grumbles more words Will doesn’t catch under his breath and then physically pushes Will towards the wall to lay beside him, arm over Will’s middle. A second of silence passes, then Mike sighs, only to whine: “Fuck, my head hurts.”
Will can’t help it: he breaks down laughing, much to Mike’s offense.

Snow rested heavily over the town. The streetlights were few and far between and seemed to cast more shadows than light. But the moonlight above reflected on the untouched snow and illuminated the night. Snowflakes drifted down in large clots, and faintly, Hans could hear the hum of the refrigerator.
It was late, and it would be a few more hours until sunlight spilled over the region. But as Hans sat there at his desk with his knee bouncing, even with how heavy his eyes felt he couldn’t look away from his computer. His heart rate remained steady, but as he reviewed his post over and over again, the temptation to delete it grew stronger and stronger.
This terrible feeling of guilt. This welcomed shame that clung to his nerves and made him shaky. He had only himself to blame but it’s become too much.
