Black hands and feet, once bound in chains, settled here for no white hands had yet tarnished the soil. Of the enslaved and oppressed, the two communities that settled within this town found a common goal. With no gold or silver, no greedy hands could grasp this land. As slaves were freed and natives forced out, they came to Bison Valley. A humble haven surrounded by a fortress of mountains. The two negro men who made this land from a dirt valley into a town kept it safe from anyone who caused trouble.
