Jet looks desperately to Katara. “He admitted it!” he exclaims. “War or not, Lee’s a firebender! He’s from the Fire Nation.”
Katara frowns at him. “Jet, we know.”
Jet gapes at her. “You—?”
The blind earthbender hops down from her perch at the counter, wanders over to join her friends and Lee. “’Course we know,” she says with a wide grin, and punches Lee on the arm. He glares at her. The earthbender’s grin somehow widens further. “It’d be kinda hard for him to be the Firelord if he wasn’t from the Fire Nation.”
There’s a moment of silence, and then Jet wheezes, “He's the what?”
[Every morning Jet wakes up alive in a free Ba Sing Se, and he doesn’t quite know what to do with himself]

Yuuri sniffled and wiped angrily at his eyes with his free hand, suddenly furious with himself. “I understand,” he said, his voice thick. “I understand if— you should leave, I mean— to get your own career back— wouldn’t want such a fuck up—“
“God, Yuuri,” Viktor said quietly, his voice filled with pain. “I… I don’t want to leave as your coach.”
“Viktor,” Yuuri said, his voice shaky. “You should quit. You were right, I shouldn't be on the ice. You should go back to your own career before it’s too late.”
“Yuuri,” Viktor said firmly. “Please listen to me, I don’t want to quit as your coach. Maybe not ever, but especially not now. Yuuri, you know I’m coaching you because you're incredibly talented, right?”
“Yeah,” Yuuri laughed bitterly. “So talented I smacked my head on the ice and injured myself on an easy jump.”

Viktor glanced up from playing with Makkachin for just a moment as the music changed after a while and a familiar song came on. His lips twitched into a small, fond smile, and he sat back on his heels and looked up at Yuuri. His husband was still curled up on the couch, his dark hair fluffy from being towel-dried, his glasses slipping down the bridge of his nose a bit as he focused on his book. In the warm golden light cast by the lamp on the table next to him he looked soft, graceful, beautiful.
Viktor’s heart swelled with affection, and he unconsciously pressed one hand to his chest for just a moment. Even after being married for two years, Yuuri could still take his breath away.
“You know, we danced to this song at the banquet in Sochi,” Viktor said softly.
[Viktor and Yuuri enjoy a quiet rest day together]

Summary
Yuuri stood at the top of the tallest building in the city, both arms leaning on the railing of the balcony he occupied, his posture relaxed. Far below him cars the size of ants moved, brightly lit, along the roads that crisscrossed the ground. Above him clouds swirled, a storm brewing.
Yuuri looked up at the sky, the energy of lightning gathering in the lines of his palms and beneath his fingernails as soft rolls of thunder in the distance tugged at his chest. A raindrop fell, a dark spot on the cement balcony by his feet, and Yuuri quietly considered dispelling the storm before shaking his head, turning back to the city.
Let it rain. Gloom was befitting of the overlord of the world.

Summary

“Well,” Kaz grimaced and looked over his shoulder before facing her. “A while ago, I ran an insurance scam. It was a long one. Took me a few months and it required a lot of backup,” he admitted. Inej nodded. “Um, to make it work… I needed a spouse…” he said slowly. Inej’s brows raised.
“Kaz…Are you already married?”
“I had forged it,” he said, almost defensively. “It’s forged. The whole thing was forged, but apparently I did a good job because the idiots at the courthouse say it is legally binding.”
Part of Inej wanted to laugh. This could only happen to them. She squeezed Kaz’s fingers.
“Just sign some divorce papers then.”
“That’s the issue.”
“Is she dead? You don’t need to worry about it if she’s dead, Kaz.”
“No. Nobody is dead…unfortunately,” Kaz sighed and ran a hand over his face. “It’s just going to be a pain in the ass.”
Inej felt the first hint of worry climb in her chest.
“….who did you marry?”
Kaz grimaced.
"Take a guess."
Or
Kaz and Inej are on a time crunch to get married. Unfortunately, Kaz's forgery skills from a fake marriage require divorce papers and Jesper just isn't sure he's willing to put their fake-kids through that.

Captain Rietveld looked coolly at him. Inej bent her head over her sewing to hide her smiling, since she was not sure she would not laugh outright. She had not thought that Wylan would deliberately provoke the Captain, but perhaps his deference to his father did not reach anyone else.
“I am sure that is not for me to decide,” said the Captain, “But I own I have been perfectly well behaved.”
“Does he lie, Miss Ghafa?”
“No— he has been quite tolerable company,” said Inej. “If not quite a perfect gentleman.”
