    Summary

    How To Train your Dragon is history, so there are no dragons in the magical world.
    A few years after the departure of the dragons, a ship approached New Berk.
    It comes to the light that the visitors are wizards (NOT Merlin) and that not all dragons are in the Hidden World. The same idea as the Vikings, Wingmaidens and Defenders of the Wing had a magical community of apostates, which does not want to have anything to do with other wizards.
    They decide to unite their communities, and the wizards create a magical barrier, first around the island and over time around the entire Barbaric Archipelago.

    A few centuries, maybe a millennium later, young dragon rider save a life of a young wizard in in the Highlands of Scotland.

    Jayce lurched forwards, hugging him the same way he did when Viktor woken up and fell from his cocoon, desperate and aching for his partner's warmth, the same he no longer could provide. Jayce said nothing about the devotees surrounding him, his scientific curiosity shredded from him as he focused only on Viktor, his face resting on the crock of his neck, nuzzling into his metallic skin.

    Relief warmed Viktor’s insides, knowing that the one he loved even after all he’d done, all he had become, all that he was- had returned to him, abandoned all for him.

    Or; Jayce followed Viktor to the commune, but it’s not actually the Jayce that we know.

    Jayce absently licks his full lips and breathes softly against Viktor’s mouth.
    “We could be lovers.”
    Viktor is so startled by Jayce’s words that he pulls away in shock. He looks at Jayce with disbelief and his brow furrows as his expression morphs into something frail and hurt.
    “Jayce, don’t say something so cruel.”
    His partner’s expression flickers with some unknown emotion and then he squeezes Viktor’s hands tightly and pulls on them, dragging Viktor closer to him. He feels trapped and a quick stab of anxiety makes his chest tighten. He doesn’t understand what’s going on. What has Jayce acting so strangely? The other man leans in so close his breath stirs the tips of his hair, and he tries to squirm away, but Jayce just increases the pressure of his hands and keeps him in place. There is a wild look in his friend’s eyes and Viktor feels another jolt of worry.
    “I’ve gone too long without telling you this. But Viktor – I love you.”

    Things are not what they seem under the Hexcore's influence.
