The invitation came with three letters: one from his uncle the King; one from his cousin Rhaenyra; and one from his father, Daemon, inviting Jon to attend with the not-so-veiled threat that if he refused, he would storm (and take up residence) in his mansion on his dragon (Jon couldn't allow that).
