Summary

Of course, her wish isn't granted. It seems like everywhere she goes, the normalcy bleeds out of her until there's nothing left but the feeling of being out of place. That, naturally, doesn't change, even upon attending a school entirely for witches, wizards, and the unusual. The only other person who shares her affinity for ancient magic is long dead, and her mentor can't for the life of him understand her plight.
Mallory is left juggling the burden of her secret magic, wanting to return home to the safety of her father, missing 4 years of education, and to top it all off? Fancying a girl who prefers animals to people, whilst accidentally sabotaging any potential relationship with her.
There's a reason the name "Mallory" means unlucky, after all.
