Music has always been able to calm his nerves. It kept him in the present, allowed him to work effectively and in relative peace in Bracca, helped him sleep when his thoughts kept him awake.
Sometimes, the loss of music was something that left a deep, gaping hole in his chest - wide, fanged jaws that only growled and howled the more he neglected it.
[Or, after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal struggles with his thoughts and reflects on his affinity for music.]

Trying to tell your friends (brothers) the truth is hard. He's done it before, multiple times (usually not on his terms), and it usually gets them all killed.
But now they know he's keeping secrets, Kai knows that he has to tell them. Without a time loop as a fail-safe.
He has to do it now, when nothing is changing.

Summary
Based after the events of Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Logan Walker tries to weave a path through the shadows of his memories, all the while trying to fight off the enemies of his past, present, and future. But, sometimes, shit gets in the way, such as a darker personality, getting locked in a white room, and, really, everything else that's going to shit.
"All of this violence...what's the point? People are dying (people I know) and now the war is back at full force and...I'm still not sure who's side I'm on.
"All i know is that it hurts when someone so close to you dies, and I never want to feel that again. This is what i fight for. I just want to keep deaths at a minimum...when I'm myself. It took the barest glance at his surroundings to figure out that he wasn’t in the vents anymore, but in a dingy alley. He had been sitting right next to a trash can, which explained the smell that was just now washing over him. The walls were plastered with black and white, peeling posters advertising local nightclubs and shops- none of which, upon his first glance through, he recognized. One of them, which advertised a place called Samuel's, declared a MIDNIGHT SHOW- Every Saturday- 25 cents a ticket.
25 cents. A ticket.
Triple futz.
It didn’t take Tony Stark to figure out where Clint was. Or, actually, when he was. Which was definitely not any time in the past thirty years at least. Twenty five cents. Jesus christ.
Clint slumped against the wall, raking his hands through his hair. “Aww, time travel, no,” he muttered, entirely to himself. He had been having such a good day too. Completely incident free. Except that he had accidentally knocked over Bucky’s coffee this morning in the communal kitchen and fled instantly. But he wasn’t ready to deal with the mortifying ordeal of thinking about that yet.

Summary
Deadpool is hired to get rid of a man named Peter Parker, awkward, capable of studying boring chemistry books for hours, with a head full of shiny brown curls and eyes that betray his intelligence. Not his normal target, but money is money and apparently Petey has been a naughty little scientist.
Peter has been struggling to focus on his homework lately, between Aunt May's recent death, his internship at Medaware taking a dark turn, having less and less time to go out as Spiderman, and to top it all off for the past few days he has the uncanny sense that he’s being watched and it never stops.
Peter's going insane, battling grief, struggling to keep his grades up, unable to get his energy out with a good fight or two.
Then there’s the flicker of red and black in his peripheral in the moments his guard slips.
Aunt May used to tell him “Patience is bitter, Peter, but her fruit is sweet.” which was always her kind way of telling him to slow down and think before acting on his impulses.
It’s most likely that Peter is about to have a mouthful of tart fruit for his choices.Series

Cal is really not sure how he got here. It’s not like he’s the chosen one. But, dank farrik, he’s going to do his best—even if that means a few panic attacks and breakdowns along the way. Honestly though, with his track record, he’s not so sure he's the best person to do this. The Empire was one thing, but this…this is not something he knows how to handle. How can a time-travelling 23—now 10-year-old—stop a—no—the galactic war?
