Summary
On a cold February night, Chief Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth disappears from his office. The only clues to be recovered from the scene are a suspicious letter, dusted with traces of an unknown powder, and the odd appearance of an especially ill-tempered gray cat.
Lacking in clues and leads, the police department is at a loss when it comes to solving the mystery of the Chief Prosecutor’s vanishing act. Short on available staff and even shorter on time when it comes to such a high profile case, there are few hands capable of caring for a cat, and even fewer willing to turn what appears to be Edgeworth’s pet over to a pound.
Somehow, in the midst of worrying about what has happened to his friend, Phoenix Wright ends up the temporary guardian of a certain prickly feline, who seems less than thrilled at this new arrangement.
Or: Chief Prosecutor Edgeworth gets turned into a cat. Honestly, it’s not the strangest thing that’s ever happened to one of them.

Summary
As far as Miles can tell, Agent Lang's initial impression of certified hot mess Phoenix "That Man" Wright upon their first meeting wasn't exactly the most positive, and tragically enough, it's not like Miles can really blame him for having that perception.
That said, they both probably should've known that Phoenix hadn't been named the Turnabout Terror for nothing.
(Or: what it means to judge solely based on first appearances and then have all of your expectations rocked off-balance, especially when they revolve around one of the most outstanding attorneys the criminal justice system has ever known).

Phoenix looks around the room, trying to refute his ridiculous earlier statement. But… he only finds more evidence. The half drunk bottle of wine, the remnants of a catered wagyu steak dinner, the cake. Edgeworth’s house is clean and atmospheric and the lights dimmed enough to be pleasant on the eyes; there’s a fire crackling in the hearth. Soft jazzy renditions of Christmas classics play through the stereo very faintly.
“Yeah,” he says finally. “Date-like. Date-ly. Date-ishly.”
“Please stop doing that to suffixes,” Edgeworth requests.
