The sterile walls and floor of the hospital did little to comfort Sue, all it did was make the ever-mounting guilt within her grow and grow. She couldn't keep her eyes off the door, trying to catch a glimpse of a staff member in the tiny window.
But just like before, there was no one there.
She buried her face into her hands, her throat tightening. It took everything to not to make a sound, not to let a single stray tear run free, to not leave.
The door unlocked and then she heard something that made her heart swell and fill with dread, "Mrs. Richards, your husband wants to see you."

It’s been a few months since Norman Osborn’s supposed "death". Summer’s almost over, and senior year is approaching
Peter Parker should be happy. But in all honesty, he’s not
Gwen Stacy, the girl of his dreams, decided to stay with Harry Osborn out of pity. And Harry hates Spider-Man for having "killed" his father and is jealous of him as Peter Parker
He broke up with Liz Allan, the girl he’s been tutoring and whom he has developed genuine feelings for, in a misguided attempt to start dating Gwen, and now, she hates his guts
And speaking of hating his guts, Black Cat still hasn’t talked to him after what happened with her father
It all ends up becoming too much for the poor hero, who decides to end it all
But in a surprise turn of events, not only does Peter survive, but he also gains new powers and a new perspective in life. So now, he’s decided to stop wallowing in self-pity and start making a difference
Look out, New York! For the Spider is ready to bite back!

Summary
After failing to convince Azmuth to turn off the selfdestruct, Ben finds himself back in class at the beginning of summer, and as he goes through the motions, more and more things are different. Good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and the watch summons alien ladies instead of transforming him. The trauma of his failure weighs down on him, but he knows better what not to do this time around. Right?
At least Max and Gwen are safe again.
