Jon stops what he’s doing but doesn’t engage, his gaze flitting about the flat to all the little tasks he could still get done. He’s been worked up all morning, scattered to the point of being frantic, starting to do one thing before instantly being distracted by another, pacing back and forth through the flat as Martin tries to get his uni coursework done.
Martin’s book shuts with a decisive thwip. “Jon,” he says. It is not a request.
