    Summary

"So," Logan uncorked the bottle without even glancing at the label. Howard drank only the best and Logan had certainly drank worse. "What's the job?"

Howard accepted the bottle when Logan handed it to him, a hand on the wheel and both eyes on the road. "Bodyguard."

"I ain't exactly in the protectin' business," Logan snorted, cracking the window with one hand while the other searched his pocket for a cigar. Howard gestured towards his own pack on the dashboard with the bottle, inviting the other man to help himself.

"I pay very well," Howard paused to take a sip of bourbon, passing it back once the mutant had his cigar lit. "I need someone I can trust and I trust you."

"You barely know me," Logan alternated between alcohol and cigar. Even if he didn't accept the job, he was enjoying the perks. "We fought Nazis together half a fuckin' century ago."

"I know enough," the man snapped, his eyes leaving the road for a moment. His knuckles had turned white against the steering wheel. "I know you aren't Hydra."

Howard Stark grows paranoid in his advanced age and hires an old war buddy to be his son's bodyguard; James "Logan" Howlett.

    Summary

When he’s thirteen, and there’s other kid heroes popping up, and the Justice League is starting to reckon with whether they’re okay with any kid being a hero at all, Clark talks to him. That’s how Dick realises.

They go to a diner. They always go to a diner, when Clark wants to talk. Clark feels safe being emotionally vulnerable in diners for reasons Dick can’t piece together yet.

"It was your idea," Clark asks, once the waitress has brought their food, enough other people already eating to create a comfortable background hum of noise, "Wasn’t it? Being Robin?"

    Summary

The thief sat up sharply, trembling as a wave of dizziness washed over him. There was no blood, nor did he see the charred skin of a recent cauterization. The skin on the stump of his arm was unbroken and callused. He thought briefly of the leather straps that had held him to the chair in the dungeons. But neither the healing nor the calluses he’d seen could have developed overnight.
How long had it taken? Months? Surely not more than a year. Please, gods, tell me I didn’t lose a year of my life in Attolia’s dungeons.
And why couldn’t he remember anything after that gods-damned sword?

What it says on the tin, aka Dad Elrond: The Series.

All works are standalone, the only thing that connects them is that the Imladris kids are all notoriously feral and terribly-behaved, but their doting father thinks they're all wonderful (possibly due to his own feral upbringing...)
