Summary
If anyone in the Hall was less preoccupied by the budging Tournament, maybe they would have noticed that Harry seemed to flicker in an out of existence for a brief second. Had the emotions not been running so high, someone would probably see the sudden appearance of eyebags and the way Harry’s robes were a tad bigger on him than before.
If given the time to reflect, anyone would have told you that something had irrevocably changed.

Harry’s head lolled forward as the curse lifted for a moment, his chest heaving as he struggled to breathe.
"Go… to… hell," he rasped, defiance burning in his emerald gaze.
Her face twisted in rage, and she raised her wand again.
"CRUCIO! "
The curse slammed into him again.

Harry Potter dies. Harry Potter finds himself in the afterlife. Harry Potter finds himself facing Death in the face.
Death has his face.
Death tells Harry he wasn't meant to die, and gives Harry three propositions: go back to life, wait in limbo until battle or go back to the 1940s, and complete the impossible, with the help of his mother and father.
Death tells Harry everyone dies, but not everyone lives.
And Harry...
Harry finds himself with a mission.
Harry will make sure Tom Riddle gets to live his life, for once.
