Summary
The Doctor watched Rose carefully, his gaze flickering over the contents spread between them on the scuffed up diner table while he ticked off boxes on his mental list: chips, extra salt and a side of vinegar, check; a brand new sparkly bracelet jingling on her wrist, check; something sweet–two milkshakes, Rose’s pick, one neapolitan and one peanut butter banana–check.
A happy, contented smile on Rose’s face? Still to be determined. She was looking rather pensive at the moment, frankly. He was working on it.

Summary
"The Doctor set the explosives, double checked that there was no one else left in the building (felt a spot of guilt for the dead man in the basement that he hadn’t been able to save), and then he set off the detonator and ran for it. As he got back into the TARDIS, he was suddenly struck with the feeling that he had forgotten about something very important, though he couldn’t imagine what it might be.
The TARDIS seemed oddly upset too, and he knew that she didn’t care about the Doctor blowing up Autons. So what was wrong? He tried to take a quick peek at his immediate timeline, but from what little he could see before the headache set in, nothing was wrong. So why did he feel like something was so terribly wrong?"
Rose Tyler does not exist. The Doctor goes through life feeling like something important is missing.

Summary
"Shareen knows I don't have a sister, so that won't work." Rose interrupted and turned back to grin cheekily at the Doctor, "But I could tell them you're my girlfriend."

Summary
“Rose, before I go, I just want to tell you, you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And do you know what? So was I.”
The Doctor smiled at her, a real, genuine smile, and Rose couldn’t help but smile back at him.
And then he threw his head back and his arms out, the whole of his body enshrouded in golden light, eventually growing so forcefully bright that Rose had to look away. And when she looked back…
When she looked back, the Doctor was gone. And in his place, in his clothes, stood a blonde woman around Rose’s height, looking dazed.
The woman stumbled forward, bracing her hands against the console before righting herself. She looked at the scanner for a moment, seemingly catching her reflection on the darkened screen. “Oh, brilliant!” she said with a grin. She looked back at Rose. “Where were we, then? Oh, of course! Barcelona.”

Summary
She heard a crackle, and looked over. She saw the faintest outline in the light. She needed to provide more energy. The rest of the lighting in the console room dimmed. That should do it...
A few minutes later, the outline took form, ethereal, ghost-like, still bathed in the light. A familiar face. The Doctor’s face lit up.
“Hi Rose.” she beamed.
