And despite Spock's half-human status, the pull of his Vulcan ancestors has always been stronger when it came to his genetic expression. He looked more Vulcan, he had the strength of a Vulcan, and as had been proven on both 5 year missions, he burned like a Vulcan.
This also meant that when he spent extended time in a location below a certain temperature, he had the instinct to hibernate like a Vulcan.
