Starts with 40s and a dare he makes with himself, alone in his room. It ends up here, in the shadow of her sick bed. Exhausted. Clean, mostly. Broke and back in his childhood home, a high school diploma and accidentally acquired plaque declaring him Employee of the Month! the only thing to show for thirty five years on this big, green earth.
