Summary
Her daughter is five years old when Ursa realises what she and Ozai have been doing to their children. By each choosing one to bestow with their approval, they’re pitting them against one another. Perhaps Ozai is doing it on purpose, but Ursa isn’t. She resolves to heal the damage she has done.

“I want her to be the only one in trouble,” Reese argued. “She started it. Mrs. Woods saw that she started it, why am I in trouble?”
“Because she wanted to teach you about being the bigger person, but that’s a bad lesson,” she told him. “The real reason was because you were impatient. If you hadn’t said anything back, Maggie would be the only one in trouble.”
“So I’m just supposed to let her?” he cried.
“No, you were supposed to give wide eyes to your teacher when she came over, and maybe start crying if you could handle it. Don’t mess with your hair, I just fixed that.” She neatly removed his hands. “And that’s not a thing you can do all the time, because that’s not fair. But sometimes things are already unfair, and they can at least skew in the direction of someone who hasn’t hurt anybody yet.”
Reese paused, and saw Camilla in a new light for the first, but not the last, time. “But isn’t that mean?”
“Very, and that’s why you shouldn’t actually use it on Maggie,” she told him. “It’s only for situations where there’s a power imbalance. So if one of the older kids starts picking on you, or a grown up does something they shouldn’t, you start bawling, okay?”

Here are the reasons why Tubbo is okay:
One, his best friend is alive.
Two, he’s married.
Three, his son is safe.
Four, Dream is in prison.
Five, Technoblade decided Snowchester isn’t enough of a government to be blown up.
Six, Wilbur was revived a hell of a lot more reasonable than anyone thought and decided to fuck off into the woods rather than kill anyone.
Seven, Tubbo has nukes, so if reasons four, five, and six turn out to be untrue, Tubbo can fix that real quick.

Alan blinks, quirking up an eyebrow. [yours?]
Orange stares at him, squinting, waiting for him to stop pretending to be dumb for the bit. “Yes? Our faces?”
Alan stutters, leaning back. He types once, twice, deleting what he starts both times, before finally settling on [??? you don’t have faces?]
Orange’s smile, still lingering from the first display of the drawing, drops.
Or, Alan has always seen the Color Gang as stick figures. They've always seen themselves as people. None of them figure out this misunderstanding, until, abruptly, they all do.

Summary
Chosen walks into a spark just as it flares out in a burst of lightning. It doesn’t burn. Static shock flickers across his skin and aggravates his injuries, but it doesn’t burn. He knows it could.
Fuck, he knows.
His foot hits something that doesn’t feel like a rock, that gives beneath the pressure. A wave of electricity races up his leg, up through his spine to send a jolt of something awful to his brain. The clawing scream returns, dashing itself against his teeth.
And Chosen doesn’t want to look, doesn’t want to know what he already knows, but he looks anyway. He inhales, sharp and hard, and exhales in a blast of wind, clearing away the smoke.
And there, lying just in front of him and wreathed in electricity flickering a little black but mostly green, is her.
He found Dark.
Chosen deals with Dark's death. He doesn't do it very well.

She looks wrong, lying there with her arms crossed over her chest and her legs stiff. He sleeps like that, curled up unmoving like a rock, but she doesn’t. She stretches out, taking up most of the bed and hogging the blankets even though she’s never needed them. He’s woken up a hundred times with her legs flung over his waist or halfway to suffocating as she snores directly on top of him.
Dark doesn’t sleep like a corpse.
He repositions her until one arm is dangling off the side of the couch and the other is flung up by her head, gently moves her legs until they’re splayed out in a position that can’t be comfortable, but he knows for her it somehow is.
Somehow would be.
