Summary
The first time Jaskier had shifted he’d been just a baby. He didn’t remember it but his nurse had regaled him with the story many times. It was one of his favourites. Viscount and Lady Lettenhove had never discovered where little baby Julian’s magic had come from. All his parents knew was that one morning they’d went to visit their darling little baby and found a small russet wolf pup with startling cornflower blue eyes where there should have been a human child.

Summary
“See?” Jaskier teased, “I told you I would kiss it better.” He leaned upwards, pressing another chaste kiss to Geralt’s temple. “One more for good luck.”
Geralt gave him a look that said he found Jaskier unspeakably odd but was too tired to say so. Jaskier (who was used to this look) simply patted his knee, rolled over, and promptly fell asleep.
As he fell asleep, Jaskier failed to notice that the wound seemed to shrink further, quickly reduced to nothing more than a thin white scar. He also failed to see Geralt raise a hand to his head, slowly tracing the scar and staring, dumbfounded, at Jaskier.
The room was quiet for the night, save for a single, soft “Fuck.”
(or: Jaskier has healing powers, and also feelings. Geralt doesn't really understand either.)

Summary
Jaskier’s eyes are sliding closed. He should leave. He should know, by now, not to outstay his welcome. But Geralt’s hand has come down to rest on his forehead, a thumb stroking into his hair. And just like always, he’s too weak to resist.
Five times Jaskier didn’t have a choice about staying and one time he did.

Summary
“You’re making a mistake,” Jaskier says. “Trust me – I’ll be watching Geralt rip out your intestines before all this is over. I’ve seen it before. It’s not pretty.” He draws himself up, shows his teeth. If this is going to go badly, he intends to be as difficult as possible about it.
The alderman glares at him. “Enough of this,” he says, commanding; there’s a heavy dull thud at the back of Jaskier’s head, and a brief burst of pain, and then blackness.
When Geralt is late returning from a hunt, Jaskier’s the one who suffers for it. Things get worse before they get better.

Mining camp
So apparently, of the two of us, you are the one who is more in touch with his emotions. This is genuinely quite embarrassing.
