Damn him, he always waited.
“Well?” Macaque prompted. Wukong looked away. His hands went limp.
“The raccoon dog renamed himself. He’s Ao Shu Hao now; he left it carved on the walls in here, along with a promise to get back at me.”
“Good thing you’re not coming with, then. Wouldn’t want the kid to get nabbed and used against you.” Macaque sneered, pushing every ounce of derision he could into his tone as he added, “New name or not, he likes to use people against the people who love them. So I’m the perfect one to go, since he wants to hurt you, and I’m the one person around here you don’t care about.”Or: Macaque believes no one will come to save him, especially not Sun Wukong. He is proven very, very wrong.
