Summary
Side characters don't require much development, nor much focus into their essence for a story to work. They are a device to drive the plot. They are a means to drive the ones that matter towards the definitive best version of themselves that they can be.
If one is able to fulfill that, then they could, very possibly, be truly beloved by all.
But you shouldn't apply that kind of logic on yourself, should you?

Summary
Trapped in a time loop and without any safe options for satiating the hunger they feel, Siffrin is in a downward spiral. The only place he can seem to get a break from the tempting heartbeats of his party is the Favor Tree. Loop isn’t human, and their lack of a heart or blood to speak of makes them a respite alongside being the only one who remembers the loops. But as Siffrin’s senses grow stronger and their hunger becomes starvation, they start to hear a faint beat in Loop’s chest.
A beat that draws fangs to the night sky and shards to a black hole.
