Summary
A deadly virus breaks out in West Vaandor, turning all those infected into cannibals. The only way to safety is through a infamously dangerous forest, separating the west from the east. Jakob is determined not to die. Along the way he meets a boy called Elix. Can they make it to safety, or will they perish in the trials and tribulations the universe throws at them?

Summary
This fic is based on a brilliant work by wordsongs called When It Rains It Pours (which unfortunately has been deleted). The plot will take a few different turns here and there, but I can’t take any credit for the storyline.

Apparently that's all the time it takes for everything to fall apart."Basically this is how I imagined the story would go as an established relationship fic instead of slow burn. The result isn’t really any less painful.

Summary
Dan steps off the train, and in front of him, looking equally as dishevelled but somehow still the most beautiful thing Dan has ever seen, is Phil. He’s real, Dan thinks, stupidly, in utter disbelief that the person he’s been thinking of almost every waking moment for the past few months is right here. Phil smiles, a wide, crooked grin. “Dan!” he exclaims, stepping closer, bringing him into an all-consuming hug. It feels warm, hopeful, like a sigh of relief. It feels like the Phil he’s slowly fallen in love with. It feels familiar, somehow. Dan leans into it, wrapping his arms around Phil, too. He smells like cheap Lynx body spray, but it’s somehow the best thing Dan’s ever smelled. “Hi,” says Phil, so quiet it’s almost a whisper. He sounds nervous, too, which makes Dan feel a little bit better.
