Summary
The day after the Nine-Tails’ attack, Kakashi leaves Konoha. He’s fourteen, he’s alone, and he’s had enough. Shinobi life has done nothing for him, apart from taking everything – everyone – that he holds dear.

A single one of Marco's brows rose, an almost taunting look on his face. “Is that so.”
“Yes. For real this time.” Ace refused to acknowledge how many other times he had said similar things, each one turning into a lie as he accepted Marco again and again. But this time he was serious- he was still ignoring the fact that he'd thought this before. This was the last time.

Summary added on 23/05/2025 - Ace 2.0 adopts his own brothers, seduces Marco and sets the timeline on fire. Good. (Or: My attempt at a time-travel fix-it where everybody lives, no one dies and Ace, now Stray, gets to rewrite fate with the family he never had.)
