“And I can’t believe you fell for it. You can be so gullible it’s endearing,” Heizou interrupted, looking at him with a bright smile. Seeing him like this brought up emotions that Kazuha hadn’t felt in a while. His heart was stirring in a way it hadn’t in a while, and all because of that damn smile. Though perhaps it wasn’t best to unpack that right now. It could wait until he had the opportunity to meditate, perhaps in Chinju Forest.
