Summary
Z-Team is paired with X-Team for a joint operation to track down and bust a child smuggling operation spanning across their bordered districts.
Z-Team may be ex-criminals, but everyone can agree a pedophile is a waste of a cell room and is much better off rotting six feet under.
How Robert Robertson can look at the perps marched through their doors with indifference is what rubs Z-Team the wrong way.

Summary
Robert Robertson III has days where everything hurts. Days when his body decided what he could and couldn’t do, no matter how much he pushed. Days that reminded him just how much he’d already lost. Those were the worst, because they forced him to admit he needed help. Today was going to be one of those days.
It was a good thing his group of misfits were there to catch him when he fell, whether he wanted them to or not.

Summary
Robert has always treated his body like something temporary—maintained just enough to keep going. Then one run-in with a passing villain leaves him younger, unscarred, standing in a body that no longer carries the visible proof of the pain he survived. As the Z-Team watches him move through the world in a way he hasn’t in years, concern sharpens into something heavier. Others begin to notice what Robert himself has long learned to dismiss, and the truth becomes harder to avoid: whatever hit him didn’t just revert him—it revealed how much pain he’d been living with, and how quietly he let it happen. Because if this is who Robert used to be, then the version they’ve known has been surviving far more than he ever admitted.
—
Or: Robert gets caught in the crossfire of a fleeing villain’s power—and wakes up in the body he had at twenty-one.

Summary
The family legacy was to die in that suit. His legacy was to live, knowing death would follow him out of the crevices of those metal corners and into the lives of those around him. Those foolish enough to interact, to reach out, to care.
His suit, blue and overbearing, his pride, his second home, his life. He had lied through his teeth, saying his father would be proud. Proud? How can a man who’d never so much as offered him a word of comfort in a world of hurt ever be anything but proud? He’d be more proud of that stupid suit than his own son, who’s doing his damned best holding onto a legacy—a legacy that follows his shadow like bloody footsteps because the start of that blood-ridden trail is his father’s body, his grandfather’s body, alone and lifeless and limp.
In his mind’s eye, he can still see his father’s corpse.
A hand comes up to grip his mouth as a wave of nausea he barely manages to swallow back hits him like a freight train.
“Robert!”
In which Robert reflects on the death of Shroud, the events leading up to it, and the future. He falls, but his loved ones are there to catch him.
