Subaru stared at the two unconscious people for a moment, his eyes lingering on the one with fucking flamethrowers for arms. Then he turned to his pseudo-daughter-spirit.
There was only one conclusion here.
“...Beako,” he said slowly, “I think we’ve been isekai-ed.”
Beako did not look enlightened at all. “What does that even mean, I suppose—”
A mistake in the Pleaides Watchtower throws Subaru, Beako, and Rem into a very strange, quirky Japan.

Subaru’s blood runs cold.
“Actually, Ram-san?” Otto offers, raising a hand. “Funnily enough, now that you mention it... I also had a pretty nasty dream of sorts. It seems just my luck that I can’t remember it well though." He sounds as casual as ever, but he keeps glancing at Subaru, eyes narrowing in suspicion even as he goes on to rant, "It’s… it’s been going on like this for the past few nights! And—and all the paperwork keeps piling up on top of that!”
...Ram and Otto… having poor sleep all of a sudden while Subaru sleeps soundly? Garfiel, going out extremely early in the morning everyday to get his mind off things ? Subaru’s nightmares have been gone for a while, gone gone gone, but they’re the ones having nightmares now, right?
It’s just a coincidence, surely! Just—calm down, it’s not like night terrors we’re something exclusive to only him.In which Subaru is keeping secrets and is failing miserably at it, the Emilia camp is accidentally dragged into his mess, and it turns out that sleep is far, far from a solace—and it’s best not to fall too deeply into it this time.
