Once, there was a maiden...
...whose shadow fled from her. She chased it over fire and stone.
She chased her shadow to a monster's mouth. It went right in. It didn't know how to stop.
The maiden caught her shadow in a deep cave full of ghosts. It turned into a ball of thorns that wrapped around her. When the ghosts pricked their fingers on the thorns, they came to life. This didn't make anyone very happy.
The maiden made a ladder from the ghosts' bones, but it only pointed downward. "Why go on?" her shadow asked.
"I can't quit now." said she.

Summary
The Scarlet Empress has read the Broken-Winged Crane, hypnotized, envenomed, and essence sealed. Her escort carrying her imprisoned and senseless form through the Endless Desert without delay so that she might meet her sinister awaiting groom in Malfeas.
However, The Endless Desert always takes at least five days to cross, and others wander within. It's merely bad luck that they run into one particular mortal who was never supposed to be here, confused by his location and furious about his lack of metal.

Summary
A Lintha Primordial Loyalist Infernal Exalt arrives in Brockton Bay via a failed attempt to escape the Judgement of the Daystar. This is a Worm Crossover with Exalted 2.5e. Of note, this is the only work in this category I know of that is about a Primordial Loyalist instead of one of the ones trying to rebel against the Yozi or Neverborn. At least I haven't seen one of those crossing over with Worm.

Doctor Haywire was a mad Tinker and his experiments brought many things from other worlds to Earth Bet. He created portals leading anywhere and everywhere. Even to places as far from reality as Creation. Peleps Da’Neril was shipwrecked when one such portal opened beneath his boat. The Brigade never managed to get the New Wave movement off the ground. They never had a victory large enough to bring them out of the closet, and with their own children to worry about they no longer want to.
The Marche is still holding back the Empire 88 and the ABB but now has even stricter policies since Marquis can get money without selling drugs or any of the other reprehensible things that gangs normally do.
Coil and Cauldron avoid the city like the plague because something breaks any precognitive power that tries to predict events there.
