“Zelda,” Link said, clinging to his memories of the person he loved most. “I’ll be waiting for you.”
Then Ganon crashed down on him; darkness and light mixed together and Link was swept away.

Summary
When Nancy turned 18 she vanished from Hawkins without warning, taking only her guns, some practical clothes, and her car. Nobody has seen her for the last four years, they only know she's alive because she sends them gifts on their birthdays and Christmas.
Then Mike gets in a car accident, and Nancy shows up at the hospital, beaten and battered to hell, small and cagey about where she's been, but agrees to spend the night at Steve's place.
OR
There's more monsters out there than just what was in the Upside Down, and Nancy has thrown herself at them in self-loathing and desperation. Robin and Steve try to convince her that she's worth more than that.
