"Hey, Steve?" Will cut in, after praying his heart slows down: it was about to jump out of his chest, taking his secret with it where everyone can see. And he wants people to see, but it's not for everyone's eyes. He will take out his heart and show it, all of it, to whom he chooses. Then they will see, and they will know. Adorned with scars and bruises they've gazed upon already, be it by choice or not, but one bruise — one scar, one vein that gives him life — lies unseen by most. So he will turn his heart in their hands, until his Ambrosia and Nectar faces them. And they will know.
"Yeah? What's up?" Steve replied frowning, understandably worried: someone losing hope and giving up in the homestretch is the worst possible situation. Good thing Will wasn't meant to come along, right?
"I've been talking to Robin," he starts, "and she said you've been a really good friend to her, especially about.. certain things. And, y'know, I didn't expect you to. Not that you seem like the type of guy to-" he took a quick breath and started again, slower, tuned his heart and let it speak. "What I'm trying to say is: I like boys."
