Yoo Joonghyuk marched up to the edge of the rooftop, and Kim Dokja whirled around when his footsteps reached his ears. He opened his mouth to say something but Yoo Joonghyuk cut him off by firmly clamping his forearm, his hand easily encircling the entire circumference of his pale wrist.
His eyes were wide, devoid of any light.
Yoo Joonghyuk’s steady, deep breathing became even more prominent in this heavy silence. His palm pulsated against the slender wrist in his grasp.
He watched Kim Dokja’s eyes alternate between his arm and Yoo Joonghyuk, the surprise delineated by his raised eyebrows.
“Get down from there.”
Upon transferring to a new high school, Yoo Joonghyuk somehow befriended the quiet boy who sat in the back of the classroom.

It’s only elevated by one step; Wei Wuxian kneels close enough that if Lan Wangji were to move his leg, he could press his foot into the other’s lap.
The way Lan Wangji sits, legs spread like an egotistical lord, is not proper. But nothing about what they ever do is quite conventional anyways.

Summary
Fei Du is injured, and decides to rest his body at a place he knows will spark the irritation of a special someone who he loves to tease.
He tosses it towards Luo Wenzhou; the man’s capable hand snatches it out from mid-air. He squawks when he opens it and sees the small ingots inside.
“What’s this?” Luo Wenzhou frowns.
“For service,” Fei Du says as he reclines back against the cushions, his body one long, elegant line clad in dark blues and golds. The soft sash around his waist pinches the rich fabrics neatly, emphasizing his slender figure. Smoke from his pipe drifts hazily in front of him, and his ink-spill hair is artfully draped over one side of his shoulder. He leisurely opens his fan, purely to peer playfully at Luo Wenzhou, eyes turning into crescent moons.
“Service?” Luo Wenzhou repeats, and Fei Du nods.
“Mn,” he replies easily. “Yours.”

Summary

He doesn’t know how long the elders will let him take part in the ritual, wonders if this will be the year their good will and pity finally runs out. Part of him hopes that it will, because setting himself up for disappointment year after year has left him so very tired, and he doesn’t know how much longer he can carry on like this. If they refuse him next time, Eren won’t be angry. Not anymore. He’ll bow his head and capitulate, ready to give up on this far flung pipe dream of joining the Wings of Freedom as a knight.
