    Summary

“How.. How dare you? Who gave you the right to tamper with my body?!” he seethed, trying to keep his voice steady through the band's constriction. The man rubbed his chin idly.
“I'm simply doing my job and pursuing my passion. Every Frankenstein needs his monster after all,”

    ----

Some people are born heroes, literally and metaphorically.
Those same people can be made into monsters.
And once that’s happened, society's warm embrace becomes cold and unforgiving. So those same people must survive by becoming something in between.

    Old Summary:

How do you flip a hero-loving society on its head? By breaking the illusion.

The Illusion that heroes are untouchable, all-mighty beings that could do no wrong, that they're always there to save the day, and that they put the people's safety first.

You have to strip them down to their most primal forms, tear away the vestiges of their humanity, and only then will the world see their true nature.

And who better to start the process than an up-and-coming hero-hopeful?
