Summary
Peter's doing fine, really. He's absolutely great, and definitely not stretching himself paper thin between grad school and superhero business and trying to maintain some fragile semblance of a personal life. Okay so that last one was a lie. So was the not stretching himself paper thin part. And the being absolutely great part. Honestly, it's safest to assume that Peter has no idea what's going on.
Or, the fic where Peter makes terrible life choices, falls asleep on a roof, and has a chance encounter.

He’d forced himself to stop reading up on missing persons investigative procedures sometime last night. Between the advice to call local hospitals, homeless shelters, morgues, and the constant reminders that if you didn’t find any solid threads to follow within the first 48 hours, well. There was only so long any person could spend tugging at their hair and trying not to hyperventilate. For a moment, he had considered bringing it up the next time he saw his therapist, going back onto something for his resurging anxiety, but no. This was something that needed to be felt. The grey concrete walls of the interview room felt more and more suffocating by the minute.
Muldoon cleared his throat, drawing Brian’s attention back from their warped reflections on the metal table. “Look, I get it. It’s frustrating, I know, but we still can’t even say for sure that he’s actually missing.”
“Yeah, uh-huh, except that he’s, you know, actually fucking missing.”

Quentin sunk a little, knowing he really should. “Okay...um...thanks.”
"Yeah, sure." Penny shrugged, like acknowledging that they'd almost had a real conversation was beneath him. Which, it probably was. But for a moment, Quentin could at least pretend. That Julia really hadn't sent Penny, that there was a chance in hell Eliot could actually want him back, that he'd have the nerve to ask. Hell, Penny was right. If he was just going to tear himself apart either way, what did he have to lose?
