What struck Delta most wasn’t Shu’s power but his composure. Shu battled with unshakable control, every move deliberate yet never forced. Watching his training sessions always left the Devolos blader in awe. That balance, that discipline—it reminded Delta of himself. He had always prided himself on staying calm, collected, and focused no matter the chaos around him. Seeing Shu in action was like staring into a mirror of everything he aspired to be. No doubt, the Forneus blader, Fubuki, must have felt the same pull toward him. He bet Lain felt the same too.
For all the awe Shu inspired, though, there was one thing Delta couldn’t quite wrap his head around. And it was quite jarring.

That had put the white haired male on high alert as he locked the door and took off his shoes- usually he was met by his roommate/boyfriend who would be fiddling with his bey or something, not the silence of a possibly empty apartment.

Summary
Rusalka!Valt AU is a Shalt AU based on Reverse:1999's Vila and Windsong, in which:
- Instead of Beybattles, they do actual battles with actual weapons and personal skill!
- Bey spirits still exist in this AU as guardian spirits. Only a select few have their own guardian spirit and are called "the awakened".
- Valt is a half-Rusalka who is also an awakened swordsman, protected by a spirit called Valkyrie, and Shu is an awakened human.
- Japanese names basis!This is a collection of ficlets set in different points based on the anime.
Each piece can be read as a standalone.
