And yet, the longer Nova looks at the bleeding, gasping shark, writhing and choking on air, the more she is sure, in her gut, that that shark is Fin.
Nova’s killed him.

Throughout the few instances in which he got a minor abrasion, Marcus’s coolant would play a clever disguise, hiding his true nature from unsuspecting humans. To the naked eye, it was practically identical to the real thing. The only way to discern it from blood was if it were placed under a microscope and analyzed. Only after that process could one confidently say that it was, in fact, not blood. This fact was incredibly handy in Marcus’s case around humans- specifically Oliver, who was the last person that Marcus wanted to see at this moment.
