    Shouta wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but three small children curled up on a dirty bed was not it.
    “You stole children from the hero commission?” Shouta couldn’t help but growl, thrusting the photograph in Nezu’s direction, but Dabi didn’t seem shaken by the accusation.
    “Technically, we are only providing them a safe place. One of our members found out that the Hero Commission has been genetically experimenting in order to create children with very specific quirks. He decided it was best to rescue the children while he had the chance and brought them to us.” The air in the room turned a deadly cold as the man’s words settled over them, and even Nezu looked surprised and angry at the prospect. Shouta didn’t have to guess why with the chimera’s history. “They’re taking the dna of heroes and villains in order to breed perfect little super soldiers. Those are their three current successes.”

    “You’re not telling me that you found another child on the way to the hospital with the first one,” Tsukauchi says.

    “I did not find another child on the way to the hospital with the first one,” Shouta lies.
