Imogen Thatcher, on the other hand, felt that there was always some wiggle room when situations called for it. And thus began her new position at the Behavioral Analysis Unit and her ongoing battle with her boss who seemed to detest her addition to the team.

    She was the most infuriating woman Bucky Barnes had ever met. Lucy Heinrich was a German-American archaeologist, tasked with retrieving stolen art from the Nazi’s after her fiancé was killed in a death camp. She was the bane of Bucky’s existence, with her stupid smile and skyscraper legs. The way she ran her pretty little mouth made his blood boil, and not in a good kinda way.

    And no — their back and forth banter was not the result of sexual tension, as Dum Dum Dugan painfully liked to point out whenever they had one of their spats.

    ...But, she was charming. In an irritating, know-it-all, kinda way.

    Unfortunately for Bucky, Dugan attempts to play matchmaker and volunteers them both for Lucy’s suicide mission of retrieving the Tesseract. The first problem: It’s deep behind Nazi territory. The second, was that maybe Dugan was right. Perhaps Bucky’s feelings of wanting to throw her against a wall and strangle her, begins to dissipate into something else.

    He still wants to throw her against a wall, though. For other reasons. And maybe being bossed around by the broad with a killer smile and dynamite red lipstick won’t be so bad? Plus, he had to admit, she did look damn good dressed in silk.

    Marc never expected to see his childhood friend Simone ever again. To Simone, Marc may as well have been dead. However, when Simone met Steven 15 years after Marc disappeared, she couldn't help but notice how familiar he was.

    The songs used for this fic may not have anything to do with the story besides my thoughts when I hear the chosen lyrics. That being said, the chapter titles won't always make sense. It's just an idea I had.
    Lastly, Marc/Steven being involved and the addition of a traumatized psychiatrist is in no way meant to romanticize, fetishize, or otherwise; mental illness or illnesses/trauma.

Learning from the mistakes of the past, Fury and Hill have done a very thorough background check; what they find, however, doesn’t seem possible, and brings up more questions than answers.

    Alexa Lynn “Lexi” Shaeffer has lots of secrets. Luckily, she’s been very good at keeping them. She should be—she’s been keeping them since she was a little girl.
