Eventually, the last of the Walkers had passed. Carol and Daryl locked eyes with them, and they shared nods. Sophia dragged herself slowly out to the edge of the car, ready to roll out from under it when a groan sounded from behind her.
Carl saw as she sucked in a panicked gasp. Sophia acted on instinct, flinging herself out from under the car and sprinting away to the woods, the Walker on her heels. Carl hears Carol worried shriek, and he doesn’t let himself think.
