Adora Grayskull is expected to find a perfect bride this Season, and Perfuma of Halfmoon checks every box. But when Adora unknowingly crosses paths with Perfuma’s fiercely protective sister, Catra, sparks fly on horseback and tension brews in the ballroom. Neither of them planned on falling in love, least of all with each other.

Adora is looking for a wife this season, and her requirements are hefty. Once she meets Perfuma- who meets her expectations exactly, she can't help but feel a pull towards the woman's fiery sister, Catra.

Adora dreads going over to her parents's house. Every visit, they try to set her up with another impressive man with an extensive LinkedIn. It's only after years, she decides to come up with a lie to get them off of her back.
"I'm gay."
Only that backfired, because now her Mother had turned to showing her impressive women- and the first one she shows Adora, makes her question if she is really lying anymore, or if women have actually always been something she liked.OR

Catra is just trying to survive, raising her kitten in a rundown apartment with a job that pays little to nothing. When social services come knocking, everything threatens to fall apart and her kitten could be taken away. But then she runs into Adora, the kid she grew up in the system with, the kid that also once was her everything, who has now grown into a broad shouldered, muscular butch woman, with the same ridiculous hairdo. Adora offers her a home, and Catra finds herself in unfamiliar territory. She has safety, stability and the terrifying possibility of hope. As the investigation unfold, and past wounds resurface, the lines between Adora's saviour complex and possibly something deeper, seems to blur.

Adora bumps into Catra seven years after she left her, what she doesn’t expect is Catra to have a kitten and need some help.
