Jesper’s grin turns positively feral, dark eyes glinting. “But nobody but our dear Inej would actually know about that, now would they?”
----Or, everyone in the Barrel assumes Kaz is having sex with Inej and he's not sure how exactly he feels about that.

“Before I try to convince Kaz that you’re not imposters, that he should have strangled and thrown into the harbour.”
Jordie’s neck prickled, thinking of the hard-eyed stare in the Crow Club.
“I’ve been in enough harbours for one lifetime, thank you.” he said.

Most sensible people avoid the Barrel during major celebrations, out of a healthy sense of self-preservation and fondness for their limbs and wallets. Kaz, on the other hand, does not have the luxury of avoiding everyone else's good cheer.
